Hopefully, if you’ve purchased a Bentley for Import into Canada, you’ve already researched your butt off …or you’re Chris Bosh (please stay, Chris!) and money aint a thang.

Otherwise, you’ll have to obtain a Recall Clearance Letter to present to the Registrar for Imported Vehicles prior to importing a Bentley into Canada.

The Bentley Line currently includes the Continental Supersports, Bentley Continental GT, Bentley Continental GTC, Continental Flying Spur, Bentley Mulsanne, Bentley Arnage and the Bentley Azure.

Acura: Obtain Recall Clearance Letter

In order to import your Acura into Canada, you’ll need to present the Registrar for Imported Vehicles with a Recall Clearance Letter at the time of import.  The Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV) requires that all passenger vehicles be free of any outstanding recalls prior to releasing the car.

Audi: Obtain Recall Clearance Letter

In order to legally import an Audi into Canada, you must obtain a recall clearance letter from AUDI stating that there are no outstanding recalls.  The recall clearance letter must be presented to the Registrar for Imported Vehicles (RIV) at the Canadian Border at the time of entry.  The current AUDI product line includes the Audi A3, Audi A4, Audi A5, Audi A6, Audi A8, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi R8, Audi TT. Older models produced by Audi are the Audi 100, Audi 80, and the Audi 90.

BMW: Obtain Recall Clearance Letter

So you’ve purchased an Ultimate Driving Machine, a BMW, south of the border and it’s time to import into Canada. In order to import the car, you must obtain a Recall Clearance Letter from BMW. The recall clearance letter must be presented to the Registrar for Imported Vehicles (RIV) upon entry into Canada. Honda: Obtain Recall Clearance Letter

How to obtain a recall clearance letter for one of the best selling used vehicles out there, the Honda.  You must obtain a recall clearance letter in order for the Registrar for Imported Vehicles to allow your vehicle into Canada.  The recall clearance letter is available from Honda Canada for many of their popular vehicles, such as the Honda Civic, Honda Fit, Honda Accord, Honda Insight, Honda CR-V, Honda Odyssey, and the Honda S2000.

Hyundai: Obtain Recall Clearance Letter

Hyundai has shed the crap-mobile stereotype, which is nice.  So if you’re importing a Hyundai from the United States into Canada, you’ll require a Recall Clearance letter directly from Hyundai Canada in order to meet RIV (Registrar For Imported Vehicles) standards.

Hyundai’s current line includes: Accent, Sonata, Genesis, Elantra, Tuscon, Sante Fe, and the Veracruz.

Jaguar: Obtain Recall Clearance Letter

So you’ve purchased the favourite car of these parts (donation, anyone?) and you’re ready to import it.  You’ll need a recall clearance letter from Jaguar International in order for the car to eventually clear customs.  Present the recall clearance letter, along with a handful of money, to the Registrar for Imported Vehicles.

Currently, Jaguar is rolling out the X-Type, the Jaguar XF, the Jaguar XJ, the Jaguar XK, and various R Models.  The S-Type was a stable of the Ford era.
