The Registrar for Imported Vehicles requires you to obtain a recall clearance letter in order to import a Nissan or Infiniti into Canada.  Unfortunately, on March 2nd, Nissan announced the recall of 540,000 vehicles to fix brake pedals and gas gauges.  Over 175,000 Vehicles in the United States are affected by the recall, so if you own/are purchasing certain Nissan Titan pick-ups, Infiniti QX56 and Nissan Armada Sports Utility Vehicles and some 2009 and 2009 Nissan Quest minivans, you will be affected by the recall.  Nissan will not release a clearance letter until these issues are fixed.
